GW Students Want Chipotle in J Street!

After discussing the idea of having a Chipotle in J Street with many students on campus, I decided to form an organized Facebook group to act as a catalyst for our plan.

Chipotle is one of the most popular restaurants in the country, and its popularity is still growing. It's better than YaYa's fake Chinese food, and the Kosher Deli that is hardly ever open. Chipotle would funnel in a lot more money to GW and students would actually enjoy eating in J Street.

I also created a Blog to act as an open forum for students who would like to see this amazing change happen to J Street.

We need everyone to jump on the bandwagon and help us make this change happen! As Ralph Waldo Emerson said, "Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm."

Do you even know if it's possible to have a Chipotle in J Street? Is there enough space? Do they do franchising in Universities?

I think it would be a lot of fun to have all the corn in Iowa, you know?

Oh well, I'm gonna go ahead and guess that you're a...freshman.

I would guess it's a freshman by the naivety of the post. What "seasoned" GW student in their right mind believes Sodexo or J Street would ever listen to the student population...it's more stale food for us and nothing ...i say Nothing's going to change that :)

I've already began discussing meeting with multiple orgs on campus and GW Admin. We can make this happen if you believe it'll happen!

No....you are an idiot, GW Admins will listen, nod, and smile for about 5 min, and then say it's not feasible. They have a contract with the food service provider, and a monopoly by forcing students to use funds at J Street. Why would they switch?

It is adorable that you think that believing makes it so, but welcome to the real world of bureaucracy...

Paige...you've "met with multiple orgs on campus and GW Admins"?? why dont you channel your efforts and energy toward something more productive? there are plenty of causes in washington, dc i can assure you.

plus, let be honest, J-street workers would ruin a chipotle burrito badly.
